To volunteer at Wright County Children's Home in a direct-contact role with the children there are several requirements that must be met.
1. Fill out and return a Volunteer application
2. Register with Family Care Safety Registry (http://health.mo.gov/safety/FCSR/) and pass a background screening. ($11.00 fee may apply)
3. Have a current (within the last 2 years) medical exam and a negative TB skin test.
4. Attend staff orientation session.
After all 4 requirements are met you may schedule times to volunteer in any capacity you feel comfortable with. If you do not wish to work with the children directly (i.e. yard work, general maintenance tasks, fund-raisers), you only have to complete step 2 above.
